The Flexview™ system is an important piece of equipment that every dental office could use. My dental practice was started over 65 years ago by my uncle Wilbert and then operated for over 50 years by my father, Theodore. They were both innovators in dentistry opening up the first 4-hand dental operatory in the Mid-West in the 1950’s using High-Speed Air driven hand-pieces. Our concept was to always locate and use beneficial technology at its earliest inception and use of the Flexview™ Monitor System is no different. I recently built a new dental office, which is completely chartless and has the highest technology available.
The Flexview™ System is well-designed and augments the high-tech nature of my office. By using it on a Midmark™ Track with the Midmark™ Light, we obtain better visibility and a brighter light, than with the competitor, TLC™ system and can move the Flexview™ monitor independently from our work light. An added benefit is that when the Midmark™ light requires a replacement bulb, the whole maintenance takes less than a couple of minutes as opposed to the difficult and expensive bulb replacement of the TLC™ system. This system easily allows the Dentist, Dental Assistant and Patient to enjoy and work with its many attributes.
The Flexview™ System works exceptionally well when viewing Digital Radiographs and Digital Photographic Camera Images. I can perform thorough and complete evaluations and immediately show the patient all images. I then present a computer printed diagnosis and treatment plan to the patient who now has a complete visually-based understanding of their dental condition. The computer also has a Patient Education program which the Flexview™ displays quite well. I also use our system as an excellent device for patient distraction since it is connected to Dish Network™ Satellite Television with Wireless Headphones. The patients are very happy watching their favorite television show, movie or sports and seem to “zone out” the Dentistry being performed. We have found that these happy patients lead to great referrals.
